My command is this:

each other as I have loved you.

First congregational prides itself on it's active participation in global and local outreach. The missions we participate with provide reaching out and serving beyond our local community, fellowship among members, opportunity for youth to practice Christian service and learn new skills... these are just a few of the many reasons we LOVE Mission work! Members, friends, and their friends are welcome to join us.

FCC is also a proud supporter of Faith-in-Action, a community funded, faith based assistance and resource center with locations in Chelsea and Dexter, Michigan.  Not only does FCC collect monthly donations we also support their backpack initiative and  adopt-a-family.

Other organizations supported by FCC include:

Some of our most recent outreach opportunities include the Sitting Tall Cracker Jack Camp.  Sitting Tall is a free therapeutic riding program designed to teach basic horsemanship skills to riders with disabilities within Jackson County. The program welcomes riders of varying ages, starting at the age of five and varying disabilities ranging from cognitive impairment, emotional impairment, learning disabilities, physical impairment, and autistic impairment.

Every year FCC are proud participants of the Dexter Chelsea CROP Hunger Walk.  "From combating droughts in Nicaragua to providing agricultural training in Indonesia to stocking shelves in hundreds of food pantries across the United States, CROP Hunger Walks help end hunger by raising funds to support local food programs and the international anti-hunger work of Church World Service."
